Kylie's sung with the group in the past, and the album's produced by Bamboos mainmain Lance Ferguson -- who also plays on the record too -- but the style is much more complicated than that combo's deep funk, and more in a classic 60s female soul mode -- with echoes of both UK and US styles in the genre! The production is wonderful -- clear, clean, and captivating -- with a rich array of instrumentation that moves the set past regular retro-funk cliches to embrace a much wider range of classic soul sounds.
